The Dow-Carnegie Institute of Technology (DCIT) has a full-service research, engineering, and manufacturing wing dedicated to aerospace engineering and technology. Housed largely at the Bozeman Campus in Montana, its mission is to enhance military and government aerospace capabilities by providing expert, impartial, timely scientific advice. The program provides innovative solutions, informs acquisition decisions, and supports operations to future-proof defense capability. DCIT undertakes scientific research and develops technology and techniques for current and future aerospace capabilities.
DCIT develops and applies analytical methods, techniques, and tools to inform decisions impacting the operational effectiveness of aerospace concepts and capabilities. The branch is central to informing the evolution of airpower in the United States and is internationally recognized for the development and application of novel methods and techniques to address challenging and highly complex aerospace problems.
