DC Institute of Technology (DCIT) announces that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has awarded the Institute with a new emergency contract to continue performing armed security guard services at the Humphrey's Engineering Center (HEC) in Alexandria, VA.
DCIT was the incumbent contractor and will perform operations for HEC for another base period of 10 months. DCIT personnel provide 24/7 armed security guard protection services for a high level cleared facility at USACE HEC. The DC Institute of Technology provides security protection via roving patrols, access/visitor control, surveillance camera and alarm monitoring, and emergency assistance support. DCIT provides a highly-trained guard unit and was able to continue operations without a break in service for USACE HEC.
The DC Institute of Technology was awarded contracts via an emergency award, invitation-only negotiations process. The contracts include a base period valued at over $800,000. DCIT has a long-standing history of providing professional security services to the military and the federal government. DCIT is proud to partner again with USACE on this sensitive requirement.
